Hello, this is going to be my last blog. Today is my last day of school and I have a lot of mixed feelings about it. On one hand I'm so pumped to get out of school and be on my own, but on the other hand I'm upset because this is my last day of school with all my friends. It feels like just yesterday I was a little freshman not knowing where any of my classes were and now I'm a senior the oldest grade in the school and I'm one day away from my highschool career being over. It a feeling that I can't explain, all 12 years of school that I have gone through were all for my highschool graduation. But the best feeling is knowing that my parents are proud of me that I'm  graduating next month.

Bruins lose in 7

Many fans were extremely dissapointed and angered the other night, when the Boston bruins were defeated by the Montreal Canadians. The bruins finished first in the whole entire league and many people around the nhl believed that this was a cup year for the bruins but they were all mistaken. The first round the bruins defeated the Detroit red wings in five games which is very good considering that the red wings have a lot if skill. Coming Into the second round Bostonians were pumped to play the Canadians because they have a history or their rivalry. They whole series was close but in the end the Canadians managed to get away with the series win. Going into game seven no one knew what to exspect. The Canadians came out of the gate fast scoring the first two goals in the game. Out if desperation Jerome ignla managed to sneak one passed price to make it 2-1. Unfortunately a pick hit charas skate and bounced in the net to make it 3-1 Canadians, and the score stayed like that until the end of the game. This was a tough loss for the bruins because a lot of fans were upset and the game was at home. Everyone thought that this year the bruins would win the Stanley cup but that didn't happen, but there are a lot of free agents and trades to go on, and hopefully the bruins can have another run like they did in 2011.

Capitals look to keep playoff chances alive

Tonight, the Washington Capitals will be playing the New Jersey Devils and a very critical game. As of right now the Capitals have 81 points and are out of a playoff spot, while the Devils have 80 points and are also out of a playoff spot. The winner of tonight's game will go ahead in the standings and benefit as they become that much closer to a spot in the 2014 Stanley Cup playoffs. It's going to be a tough match up tonight, for the Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin has 72 points and 48 to lead the league in goals, but the Devils have veteran Jaromir Jagar, with 64 points and 24 goals. Tonight will be a great game, because both teams are fighting for a spot in the playoffs and in the end it will simply come down to who wants to win more.
This is going to be a very close one, but i personally believe that the Washington Capitals are going to pull away with this one, because the Capitals have been in a slump the past couple games and then realize that they need to turn things around. I believe that Capitals captain Ovechkin, Troy Brower, and Nick Backstrom will all come up big for the Caps. But it all starts with captain Alex Ovechkin, he needs to be a leader through this game and help his team take the win tonight.

Ovi helps Caps get away with the win

Last night the Washington Capitals went on the road to face the Florida Panthers. This was a must win for the caps, considering the season is almost at its end, and the caps are on a couple points away for receiving a spot in the playoffs for the 11th consecutive year. Only 5:48 into the first period the capitals go on a power play, and Troy Brouwer earns his 15th goal of the season to make it 1-0 Caps. About eight minutes into the game forward brooks Laich scores on a slap shot to make it 2-0. At the closing of the first period Fleischmann manages to squeeze a goal past caps goaltender Holtby to make it 2-1 at the end of the first. The second period starts off with a quick goal by Brad Boyes to make it 2-2, Nicklas Backstrom replies with an amazing goal making it 3-2 Caps. Troy Brouwer then earns his second power play goal of the night making it 4-2. At the start of the third period the Panthers realized they needed to change their game plan and two beautiful goals were scored by Shore and Boyes making it a tied game at 4-4. With 4 minutes left in the game and time running down, Washington's Captain Alex Ovechkin steps up with a huge goal to make it 5-4 and help the team win in their time of need.

Bruins lose to the Canadiens for the fifth straight time

On Thursday January 30, 2014, The Boston Bruins hosted the Montreal Canadiens at the Garden. The Canadians started their back up goalie Peter Budaj for the first time in nine games. The Bruins started Tuukka Rask, who is the number one rated goalie in the league, and the fourth in the NHL for save percentage. The Canadians ended up over powering the Bruins 4-1. The Canadians goalie Budaj stopped 34 of the 35 shots that he faced. This was Budaj's first victory since December . They took out Rask and he watched the last 26 minutes of the game from the Bruins bench.
